Public pressure grows on House Republicans to chedule a vote on immigration reform. House leaders have expressed no interest in bringing a vote to the floor. In addition, the departure of two Republican congressmen from the so-called Gang of 7 weakens the effort to present a bi-partisan immigration reform bill in the House. This program features an interview with a Republican congress member who has voiced his support for a pathway to citizenship and called on Speaker John Boehner to allow a vote in the House. We also speak with a leader of the conservative movement, and a democratic congressman who is a top leader in the pro-reform movement, about the real prospects for immigration reform in October.
