The Census: Excluding the Undocumented?
The US Supreme Court considers today an appeal from the Trump administration that seeks to revive its efforts to exclude undocumented immigrants from the calculations used to apportion congressional seats. Meantime, officials of the Census Bureau say they cannot deliver the data required to reallocate seats in the US House of Representatives until after Trump leaves office, giving a blow to Trump’s plans to exclude undocumented immigrants from political reapportionment and federal dollars.
