Almost all the mistreatment complaints filed against Border Patrol agents in which a formal decision was issued resulted in “No Action Taken.” Civil rights organizations are documenting the flaws in the complaint system and immigrant rights groups have released recommendations to DHS to address the problems with the CBP complaint process. A human rights organization starts an investigation and collects testimonies of possible victims of abuse suffered at the hands of CBP.
