PROGRAM # 8324 12:00 PM PT

Immigration Edition.

Texas and six other states sue the Trump administration to end DACA. Also, a group of young Latino voter activists are putting the primary candidates feet to the fire on their positions on immigration and deportations. And in recent days, DHS announced the end of TPS for about 60 thousand Hondurans, who will now be at risk of deportation. And while members of a caravan of Central Americans continue applying for asylum in the San Diego border, Attorney General Jeff Sessions visited the area to warn he will be prosecuting and separating from their children those parents who are detained accompanied by their children. Finally, in response to the intensified ICE operations, a human rights organization is launching a national know-your-rights campaign to advise immigrant families how to defend themselves in their homes, in the street or while under arrest.

Guests: Julieta Garibay, Texas Director and Co-Founder, United We Dream, Austin, TX; Natalie Montelongo, Campaign Strategist, American Civil Liberties Union, Washington, DC; Oscar Chacón, Co-Founder and Executive Director, Alianza Americas, San Salvador, El Salvador.
