A delegation of Latino congressmembers visit a shelter of deported veterans in the Mexican border city of Tijuana. The US legislators are sponsoring a bill to allow them to return to the US and apply for legal residency. Also, following the deaths of two detainees in Georgia, advocates call on Atlanta’s authorities to end contracts with ICE and close local immigration detention centers. And, following on the footsteps of California, the Illinois legislature passed the Illinois TRUST Act, which now goes to Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner.
