Immigration Edition.

Tuesday_673x324TUESDAY, OCTOBER 18
PROGRAM # 7905 12:00 PM PST.

Immigration Edition.

In the past year, hundreds of thousands of immigrants applied to become citizens and, if naturalized in time, they could help decide the outcome of the election. Civic groups are holding voter registration drives at the naturalization ceremonies. Also, a school law graduate and activist of the immigrant youth movement is now fighting attempts by immigration authorities to deny DACA renewal in retaliation for her civic activism; congressmembers and academic leaders provide support. Guests comment on these topics.

Guest: Attorney Rosalba Piña, Immigration and Citizenship Law Expert, Chicago, IL; Lizbeth Mateo, recent law graduate, student organizer, Los Angeles, CA.
