Immigration Edition.
Congress passed an omnibus spending bill, avoiding the threat of a government shutdown but making it harder for millions of immigrants to file taxes using an ITIN, and receive tax credits. Also, in a sort of wish for the Holidays, advocates and congresswomen call for an end to the US family detention system and measures to protect unaccompanied minors at the border.
