In his State of the Union address, President Biden called for a path to citizenship for Dreamers, farmworkers, TPS holders and essential workers and reform of the immigration system. Immigrant advocates talk about the actions expected from Biden following his remarks. In more news, 0ne million refugees have fled Ukraine after the Russian invasion of the country. While European countries are welcoming most of the Ukrainian refugees, Black and brown migrants report a different, racist treatment. And as President Biden grants TPS for Ukrainians in the US, some call to treat Haitians and other refugees in the same way. In more news, a US court ruled that the federal government can no longer use the public health Title 42 rule to justify expelling some migrant families seeking asylum at the border. Finally, a conversation with an immigrant activist who was granted a suspension of deportation by the Biden administration along with four other activists who had sought sanctuary in Colorado churches to avoid deportation.
