Immigration Edition.
The Trump administration is now targeting legal immigrants to denaturalize and deport them. USCIS is hiring dozens of lawyers and immigration officers to review naturalization cases of immigrants who are suspected of lying to gain citizenship. Also, ICE agents have been making arrests in a courthouse in Fresno, raising concerns and condemnation from advocates, judges and state officials. Finally, a state lawmaker and an activist talk during celebrations of Mexican bandit-hero Joaquín Murrieta about the need to continue Murrieta’s legacy of cultural resistance to stop the current attacks against migrant families and to promote the rise of Latino voters in the polls.
