The Politics of Sex Education.

Wednesday_673x324WEDNESDAY, JUNE 2
PROGRAM # 9275 12:00 PM PDT

The Politics of Sex Education.

Warning that sex education programs and sexual health services around the country are not accessible to young people who are LGBTQ or from communities of color, a group in Congress is introducing a bill that will give them access to education and health care. On other news, in Arizona, a state with some of the most restrictive sex education laws in the country, a controversial sex education bill restricting when schools could teach sex education is making its way through the legislature. Finally, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed an anti abortion bill that makes Texas the largest state in the nation to outlaw abortion early in the pregnancy as the Texas Senate rushed to pass a total ban on abortion if Roe v. Wade is overturned by the US Supreme Court.
