Schools Allowing Guns on Campus.
School district officials from high schools in Kern County are allowing non-employees to bring guns to the high school campuses, if they have a permit to carry concealed weapons. This is the fourth school district in California to allow guns on campus. Now, the officials are preparing to discuss whether to allow teachers and school staff to carry a concealed gun on campus. Teachers, counselors and community leaders are forcefully opposing the controversial policy. Guests also discuss federal and state laws establishing school gun-free zones.
