As a record number of Latino students are headed to college in the fall enrollment season, many are looking into community colleges as a viable option to continue higher education. College leaders are reaching out to Latino students highlighting the role of this college system as the nation’s largest provider of workforce training in areas such as manufacturing, nursing and firefighting. Banning Chlorpyrifos. The Biden administration will ban the use of a common pesticide tied to neurological damage in children. The chemical, known as chlorpyrifos, is widely used on fruits and vegetables. This decision reverses a policy of the Trump administration.
