As schools are attempting to reopen in the purple tier for in-person instruction, bringing students and staff indoors, many in the education community are calling for better safety measures to ensure a safe learning environment. On another topic: the pandemic brought school closures and cancellation of sports and social events. Because of the new life in isolation, compounded by poor diet and sleep, and too little exercise, young people are suffering from depression and suicidal thoughts. How can parents help?
