Puerto Rico: Roselló Resigns After Massive Protests.

Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Roselló resigned after two weeks of intense and massive protests. Hundreds of thousands took the streets after massive corruption scandals and comments mocking women, gays, and victims of Hurricane Maria came to light. What’s expected from Wanda Vázquez, the substitute? What changes are demanded to combat corruption? What is to be expected about the fight for federal funds in the times of Trump?

Guest: Federico de Jesús, Principal, FDJ Solutions, San Juan, PR

Latino Leaders Make Inroads in Higher Education. The two top leaders of Fresno State University are receiving a community recognition in California’s Central Valley. President Joseph Castro and Provost Saul Jiménez rose up from farm working families with roots in this valley. In recent years, the campus has gained national notoriety because of its outstanding record of hiring Latino faculty and the graduation rate performance, due in part to the support provided to undocumented students.

Guest: Joel Murillo, California Latino Leadership Network, Cecilio Orozco Research and Policy Center, Fresno, CA.

Mueller Hearing II. In the second session before the US House, Special Counsel Mueller was asked why didn’t he subpoenaed President Trump to interview him under oath? Some answers are reported in this program. Later, at a news conference, President Trump attacked journalists accusing them of lying and giving fake news after some reporters quoted statements from the hearing, including assertions from Mueller that written answers by Trump were “in general” false.

Guests: (Recording Cuts) Rep. Sean Patrick Malone, D-NY, Washington, DC; President Trump, White House, Washington DC.
