Latino Shops and the Threat of Rising Rents.
The rising costs of rent and housing in the San Francisco bay area are threatening mom and pop businesses in the traditionally Latino Mission neighborhood. Those shops that haven’t relocated are at high risk of being pushed out. How do low-income Latino businesses manage to stay afloat in an area known for having one of the highest housing prices in the nation? How do they adjust to the changing landscape? This program is part of a series on the housing crisis. This is a repeated program.
