Rick Fuentes is a Grammy Award-winning accordionist. Born in San Jose, California, Rick Fuentes is from a family with roots in South Texas. His father, Ricardo or Richard Fuentes, played button accordion and organ for the Chicano band, Brown Express. His son Rick, played during his early career with a Brown Express musician Chavela Ortiz Hernandez and her band Grupo Express. He later spent 20 years alongside Tejano icon Ruben Ramos. Now, Rick Fuentes has started the next generation of his father’s group, with a new Brown Express. This concert was recorded live at the 37th annual Tejano Conjunto Festival in San Antonio.
