Rafael Manríquez: “El Pájaro Vuela.”
A celebration of the late Rafael Manríquez, a virtuoso vocalist and instrumentalist and tireless promoter of Chilean and Latin American roots music. This program features songs from Rafael’s never-before released recording “El Pájaro Vuela,” made in the 80s, and conversations with musicians who closely collaborated with the maestro. Friends and musicians are kicking off an annual festival in Berkeley, CA, in memory of Manríquez.
