Lorenzo Martínez: Master Folk Violinist.
In 2003, the National Endowment for the Arts recognized the musical contributions of father and son Roberto and Lorenzo Martínez, a family from the heartlands of New Mexico. They received the National Heritage Fellowship, the highest honor in the folk and traditional arts. Lorenzo, a virtuoso violin player, for preserving and promoting New Mexico’s old songs and violin traditions.
