Maestro Juan Pedro Gaffney, director of the first chorus ensemble in the US featuring medieval and contemporary songs from Ibero-American baroque and indigenous origins, talks about their then newly-released album dedicated to the celebrations of the feasts of the Nativity cycle. With this first album and a series of concerts, the Coro Hispano de San Francisco and Conjunto Nuevo Mundo celebrated Wise Kings Day featuring centuries-old Christmas carols from around the Spanish-speaking world. This program was originally aired on December 24, 1997.
