“Mimi’s Suitcase.”
A conversation with the author of an autobiographical story of an Iranian woman who returns to war-torn Iran after growing as a child in Barcelona. The humorous, one-woman show raises questions about identity, women’s rights, homeland and the aftermaths of displacement. The show has been performed in Los Angeles, Miami, Toronto and other cities, and now comes to San Francisco. The performer also comments on the worries and hopes if Iranians in the diaspora about the current US-Iran crisis.
