Tejano Conjunto Concert: Day Three. Hour 1.

San Antonio became the world capital of Tejano Conjunto music for one week, culminating the night before with a line-up of some of the best Conjunto performers in the world. This special program includes speeches by legendary accordionist Gilberto Pérez and Radio Bilingüe director Hugo Morales in the ceremony of induction of Radio Bilingüe’s own Alma Garza into the Tejano Conjunto Hall of Fame. It also showcases interviews with a pioneer of a Tejano conjunto school program, teacher Cecilio “Chilo” Garza, from La Joya School District, and interviews and music by two young and emerging stars, Veronique Medrano and Flavio Longoria.
