Peruvian singer-songwriter Susana Baca recently won the 2020 Latin Grammy Award for Best Folk Album for her album “A Capella” (A Cappella), which was recorded at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and features 17 songs and poems. To mark the occasion, this program features an interview with the singer and activist recorded in pre-pandemic times. She talks about her work as a culture minister and school teacher, and celebrates women and her Black roots.
