On this national holiday celebrating the birth and legacy of the civil rights and labor leader César Chávez, farm worker leaders comment on this day. A top farm labor leader discusses the Farm Workforce Modernization Act, and the efforts to get enough votes in support in the Senate, and the vaccination drive for farm workers at the 40 acres, the UFW historic headquarters, with the prsence of First Lady Jill Biden. Also, Colorado immigrant advocates discuss the plight of farmworkers in this state of the Rocky Mountains and Colorado’s Agricultural Workers’ Rights bill, which would ensure farm workers rights to organize, enjoy minimum wage pay, health and safety standards, and other basic protections in the state.
