Casa de los Sabores.
This is a conversation with Pilar Cabrera, a cultural activist who celebrates the culinary tradition of her native Oaxaca. She learned the family recipes of her cuisine from her grandmother. She works with farmers and local organic producers to recreate those dishes the old way: served to eat fresh, seasonal and naturally. In this interview, she talks about her teachings, community health and the lessons she has learned as a woman who is mastering the male-dominated world of gastronomy and business.
Guest: Pilar Cabrera, Master Cook, Food Engineer, Owner of La Olla Restaurant, Author of the Book “Recipes from Pilar Cabrera and Casa de los Sabores Cooking School”, Centro Historico, Oaxaca, Mexico.
