Acclaimed Salvadoran Artists.

Born in Los Angeles of Salvadoran immigrant parents, Leticia Hernández has become a leading poet in California. She has presented her poetry around the country and in El Salvador. Salvadoran-born artist Víctor Cartagena has been working on visual art in the San Francisco Bay area since the 80s, tackling issues of exile, identity and social justice. Both artists join this program to reflect on the Mission cultural community, their most recent projects, and the relationship of love, tension and resentment with their parents’ homeland.
