Republicans seek to demolish immigration actions

The new Republican majority in Congress is taking steps to dismantle President Obama’s executive actions on immigration. The House of Representatives passed a bill this week that would destroy the protections against deportation for millions of undocumented immigrants. The bill is not expected to pass the Senate, in part because some Republicans have expressed opposition. Some analysts say this Republican action could damage the conservative party’s image with Latino voters, before the 2016 presidential elections of 2016.
