A great maestro of mariachi music has left us. Natividad, or “Nati”, Cano died on October third at 81 years old. With more than 50 years as director of Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano, the maestro brought mariachi music to new levels of excellence and helped change public opinion about this musical genre. Throughout the years, Radio Bilingüe had the honor to interview Nati Cano numerous times. Raúl Silva prepared this tribute to this pioneer of mariachi music in the United States.
