Deported Mothers and Grandmothers Find Comfort and Hope in Activism

After living in California for more than 30 years, Rocio Rebollar Gómez was deported. This small businesswoman, who has three children, three grandchildren, no criminal record and is also the mother of a United States army officer did not earn a pardon from the federal government. But in the border city of Tijuana, Mexico, Rocio found comfort and hope with an organization of deported mothers and grandmothers struggling to change family separation policies.
