Latino members of congress strongly condemned the Trump administration’s decision to include a controversial question on citizenship in the 2020 census. They believe the question is designed to intimidate undocumented residents, and that, if the undocumented go uncounted, this jeopardizes political representation and resources for states with large immigrant populations.
