A few months before the second anniversary of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, many youth who could benefit have not applied. Among those who have least applied are rural youth. Some say they are uninformed and others do not have the documents necessary to prove their time in the country. Some community organizations and the Mexican Consulate have started going out to inform these young people. Juan Santiago attended an orientation session in Madera, California, and he has this story.
