US Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) has announced that arrests of undocumented individuals has risen by nearly 40% so far under the current administration compared to last year, and that most of those arrested have a criminal record. Immigrants’ rights groups, however, say that these misleading figures in fact hide another reality, and are calling on authorities to open the files for clarification.
