Historic Trial of Salvadoran Commander Involved in Jesuit Massacre

The first phase of the historic trial against former Salvadoran Colonel Inocente Orlando Montano, who has been indicted in the murder of five Jesuit priests in 1989 during the civil war in El Salvador, has concluded in Madrid. The prosecution is seeking 150 years in prison for the former colonel, who was extradited from the United States. Our news director, Samuel Orozco, spoke with the lawyer Almudena Bernabeu, the main prosecutor in the case and a recognized persecutor of war criminals.
