Aboard a passenger bus baptized the Freedom Truck, dozens of Central American families who have for decades enjoyed Temporary Protected Status (TPS) are on a 12-week journey to raise awareness about their situation. The tour, which will visit 50 cities, aims to rally support to prevent the Trump administration from deporting the families and convince Congress to normalize their immigration status. As the caravan kicked off in Los Angeles City Hall, our correspondent Ruben Tapia interviewed a Salvadoran family and a Honduran driver participating in the tour, which they call a “journey for justice.”
