The COVID-19 pandemic has claimed the lives of more than a quarter of a million Mexicans. In this week’s traditional Day of the Dead celebration, Mexican families celebrated their lost loved ones in a very special way, as the high risk of contagion of the coronavirus prevented them from accompanying them in their final days and bidding them farewell with the usual funeral ceremonies.
