Families Remember People Lost to COVID-19 in Traditional Day of the Dead Ceremonies

The COVID-19 pandemic has claimed the lives of more than a quarter of a million Mexicans. In this week’s traditional Day of the Dead celebration, Mexican families celebrated their lost loved ones in a very special way, as the high risk of contagion of the coronavirus prevented them from accompanying them in their final days and bidding them farewell with the usual funeral ceremonies. Citlali Sáenz witnessed how two families remembered their loved ones on November 2nd. She reports from Mexico City.
