Volunteers Go Through Speedy Training to Put Out Wildfires in Colorado

Pressed by a season of extreme heat and drought, a group of volunteers are doing urgent training in the mountains of Colorado to prevent and fight wildfires. The federal government is providing millions in funding to improve the nation’s emergency response to weather disasters based on the idea that more disastrous wildfires are inevitable. Rossana Longo-Better visited the training center and reports from Boulder, Colorado.
