In Mexican Presidential Election, Voting Abroad is Historic but Minimal

On the eve of the deadline for Mexicans to cast ballots from abroad in the July 1 presidential elections, nearly 100,000 people have done so. This figure is at a historic high, but is still low given that 180,000 ballots were requested and more than half a million Mexicans are registered to vote abroad. Speaking with Samuel Orozco on Línea Abierta, veteran voting advocate Francisco Moreno explains that the low figures are due to mistrust, lack of information and the confusing voting mechanism.
