Dolores Huerta Lends Support to Activists Protesting Racism and Police Brutality : Legendary farm worker and civil rights leader Dolores Huerta added her voice to the national chorus of those who support activists calling for police reform. On the program Línea Abierta, Huerta reflected on the public outrage over the death of George Floyd, calling for police officers to be “peace officers.” Huerta called for transforming anger into activism through non-violent means and bringing the drive to eliminate racism to the November presidential elections.
