Economic Crisis in Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico is facing an unprecedented fiscal crisis with a debt of more than 70 billion dollars and an unemployment rate above 12 percent. The federal government has not approved a rescue plan. Lawmakers and politicians from the island demand an urgent economic response, not only from Congress, but also through immediate executive actions by President Barack Obama.
