Will Police Implicated in Recent Killings of Latino Youths be Held Accountable?

After the historic guilty verdict in the case of the white police officer who murdered George Floyd, our news director, Samuel Orozco, recalls notable cases of police violence in which helpless young Latinos were killed and officers were not held accountable. In his commentary, Orozco points out that many in Latino neighborhoods see the police as a hostile outside force and asks whether it is time to rethink and remake systems for community security.
