Indigenous and Afro-Mexican Emigres in California Weigh In on Constitutional Reform

With the aim of gathering citizen proposals to respond to the long-ignored demands of impoverished and forgotten indigenous and Afro-Mexican populations, the Mexican government conducted a series of public forums. All of the town halls were held in Mexico except for one, which took place in Los Angeles, where it was received with a mix of enthusiasm mixed and skepticism. Ruben Tapia brings us this coverage of the event.
