Beginning next year, California residents will be required to purchase health insurance. The state government will help more than one million new consumers buy insurance plans, however, those who fail to do so will be issued a fine the following year. During the three months of the open enrollment period, workers from the agency that regulates the health insurance marketplace are traveling around the state to clarify things and encourage new enrollments. Rubén Tapia reports from one of those events in Los Angeles.
