Hundreds of residents in the Central Valley of California, a district governed by Republican Rep. Jeff Denham, went to a public forum to demand his opposition to the elimination of the health reform bill called Obamacare unless there is a previous plan to protect the insured. More than 100,000 people in this district, which includes the city of Modesto, have access to health services through this law’s reforms. At the assembly, one of several that have occurred in the nation’s Republican districts, dramatic testimony was heard and, confronted by the absence of the congressman, they shouted, “Come forward and do what is right!” Our reporter Fernando Andres Torres has the details.
