House Passes Legalization of Dreamers and Farm Workers, Senate to Vote Next – The Democratic-controlled House of Representatives has passed two immigration reform bills. One would extend green cards to young immigrants known as Dreamers and those covered by the TPS program, and the other would do the same for farm workers. Now, the bills move to the Senate, where they face an uphill battle as support is needed from ten Republicans. To pressure them, a coalition of businesspeople and politicians launched an intense national campaign this week. José López Zamorano has the details from Washington.
