California Could Offer Healthcare to Undocumented Youth up to Age 26

California’s legislature is considering a bill that would expand the law allowing undocumented children access to health insurance through the public program known as Medi-Cal to include young people up to age 26. Two important legislative committees have signed off on the bill, proposing that funding should come from new tobacco taxes. The big unknown is Governor Brown, who will decide on the issue in a matter of days. Rubén Tapia reports from Los Angeles.
