A battle for Congress is raising excitement among voters in California’s Central Valley and capturing the attention of national political leaders. It’s the fight for Congressional District 21, a district with a Latino super-majority, where Democrat Amanda Rentería is going up against well-financed Republican Congressman David Valadao for his seat in Congress. This week, U.S. vice-president Joe Biden came to Bakersfield to energize Democrats in favor of Rentería. Our correspondent Rubén Tapia reports from the event.
