When the enrollment period began for Affordable Care Act insurance plans, officials hoped that at least 4 of every 10 enrollees would be young adults. A few weeks before the deadlines, youth made up only 25 percent of new enrollees, according to official cacluations. A recent rise in the numbers of young people enrolling in private exchanges could be a sign that in the last days, young people will also be rushing to enroll in the public marketplace.
