Border Attorneys Ready to Work on Executive Orders on Asylum

President Biden’s executive orders to reunite migrant families separated from their children, restore asylum, and end the “Remain in Mexico” policy have been met with relief and hope among border organizations, who say they are ready to work with the new government. At a virtual press conference, immigration attorney Laura Peña, from the Rio Grande Valley region in Texas, presented the position of the American Bar Association.
