The focus of the final hearing centered on what the former president did minute by minute, from when he harangued his supporters to march to Congress as it was certifying the election results, to when he asked them via video to go home. Uninsured to Remain Without Care if Congress Fails to Act – Political leaders in twelve states have prevented more than two million people from benefiting from subsidized health care by refusing to expand their state Medicaid programs. The US Congress could help close this Medicaid coverage gap during current discussions of the economic reconciliation package. New Measures Begin to Protect Workers from Wildfire Smoke – Two years ago, Washington State experienced one of the worst wildfire seasons in recent history. Thousands of outdoor workers were affected by the toxic smoke. In response, Governor Jay Inslee approved temporary measures to require that employers in construction and agricultural industries protect their workers from the dangers posed by wildfires. These initiatives go into effect just as the new wildfire season begins. José Luis Buen Abad reports from Seattle.
