Six Dead and Widespread Unrest After Explosion at Georgia Poultry Plant – After six workers were killed in an explosion at a large chicken processing plant in Gainesville, Georgia, questions and confusion remain among the families of those affected. Although the deadly incident is still under investigation, there is much criticism of the unsafe conditions at the plant and in the multibillion-dollar industry that relies on immigrant labor in Gainesville, considered the capital of the U.S. poultry industry.
