Many give credit to young candidate Ruben Gallego’s strategy of mobilizing voters. How did Gallego get out the vote in an electoral district known nationally for its low electoral participation? Valeria Fernández reports from Phoenix.

Immigrant Licenses Under Attack in Two States – In Tuesday’s election, two state laws that allow undocumented immigrants to get driver’s licenses are under attack. In Oregon, the recently-signed law is the object of a citizen referendum in an attempt to veto it. And in New Mexico, Republican Governor Susana Martínez is running her campaign on promises to revoke a law that has been in place for eleven years. We spoke about this subject on our national talkshow Línea Abierta. Marco Vinicio González prepared a report with comments from our guests.

New Enrollment Period for Health Plans – The second enrollment period for health plans under the Affordable Care Act opens on November 15th. Consumers that were enrolled under health exchanges last year can choose a new plan or be re-enrolled automatically in the same one. Will it be easier to navigate the system to buy plans and receive government subsidies? On Línea Abierta, Sinsi Hernández Cancio, director of Health Equity for Families USA, in Washington, D.C. shared these comments.
